Shooting Fields

Sporting Clays

Grouse Ridge Shooting Club features the largest sporting clays course in Alaska. 80 acres of shooting stations designed to keep shotgunners of all ages and abilities challenged. From the “Duck Blind” to the “Attacking Rabbit”, the walk-through Sporting Clays course changes regularly to keep experienced shooters in top form, and novice shooters engaged. Two completely separate upper and lower courses keeps shooting safe during big events with large numbers of participants. Grouse Ridge has hosted the Alaska State Sporting Clays Championship for 10 consecutive years. Our commitment to the competitive shot gunner is evident in the quality of our target presentations set by our master target setter. Each course is equipped with automatic clay target throwers, gun racks, and shooting stations. Additionally, we open up new areas to create competition-only courses for shooting events that we host throughout the year.
